Good prices start with clear context.

HeneFM records public shop observations in MapleStory Classic’s Windia Free Market. Here’s what the numbers can—and can’t—tell you.

Asking prices, not completed trades

An unsold row is a seller’s asking price when it was observed. A row reported as sold is retained separately, but it is not independent proof of a completed transaction. A missing listing or a lower quantity does not establish a sale.

One listing, one sample

Prices are normalized to mesos per item: bundle price divided by items per bundle. The average gives every eligible listing equal weight; large stock counts and repeat scans do not increase its weight. The median is the middle asking price, averaging the two middle values for an even number of samples.

Zero asking prices and valid extreme prices are retained. Missing or malformed values, reported-sold rows, and duplicate slots do not enter the asking-price summaries. Fewer than five eligible samples is flagged as a small sample.

Freshness stays visible

Headline prices use observations no older than 30 minutes. If only older eligible samples remain, the page explicitly shows last-observed prices. Listings expire from price calculations and the preview after 24 hours. A dash means no eligible price is available; it does not mean zero mesos.

Equipment stays in separate groups

Different returned stats and client builds are grouped separately. Equipment stats from the collection tool are currently unverified, with a known weapon-attack issue. Even matching returned stats do not guarantee identical in-game equipment. All equipment price groups are provisional; missing stats are never pooled as if they matched.

Coverage is measured, not assumed

Each room uses its latest complete, reconciled scan. Incomplete reads preserve the previous complete snapshot. Shops can change while a scan is running, and a seller moving between rooms may briefly appear in two snapshots. Check the listing time and observed coverage before relying on a price.

What’s available today

You can search observed item names, compare price groups, and inspect up to 25 unsold listings with seller names and locations. Historical charts, developer API access, accounts, and subscriptions are not available yet.

Methodology: asking-v1.1. Prices are calculated with exact fractions and rounded for display. HeneFM is an independent project and is not affiliated with the game’s publisher.
